Merino wool is perfect for a headband because it’s moisture wicking, insulating, temperature regulating, odour-resistant, breathable and keeps its shape well. All this means that it provides exceptional comfort and protection for adventures in the outdoors.
I line my handmade headbands with soft cotton fleece, which means that it feels lovely and comfortable against your head and it’s a more sustainable option than polar fleece. It has the added benefit of being extra stretchy, so the fit of the headband is even better.
This hand knitted headband ear warmer measures 9.5cm/4” in depth. Best for head circumferences of 54cm-60cm (one size fits most). I also make smaller sizes, if you want to match with the children in your life.
I package my fleece lined knitted headbands in recycled and recyclable paper, either tied up with biodegradable string or leftover yarn. Standard second-class postage is included in the price. I obtain proof of posting with all items. If you’d like a tracked or first class service, please select the option you’d like when checking out.
This yarn is 100% Merino wool, so to keep this headband looking it’s best, please hand wash it.
